HI Everyone
I'm simply reactivating a suggestion here last week to respond to the NSW State Govt call for community input to a survey.
Here's the site
Site Link
I have responded to this simple 5 question survey and plugged the need for far better access to National Parks in two of the questions.
Here's part of my response - I hope it helps fire up your own thoughts and gets all of us in email mood.
Cheers
Chris
"I want the National parks to be seen as a resource for TODAY's people as
well as tomorrow's. The current program of 'buy-up and lock-out' has to be reversed. Instead it needs to 'buy-up and free-up' so that people trapped in cities, social stress and unnatural surrounds are given the opportunity for emotional and psychological refreshment that many of us find in nature.
I feel as though my country, what I hold dear, and my way of life are under seige by an aloof and arrogant NParks bureacracy intent on turning NSW into a 'look where we let you - but don't touch' tourist
park.
Even where we can
camp, we are coralled into extremely small
camping areas where we live on top of each other - exactly what we are trying to escape.
I hope this is useful to you"
