Dear wal,
the last time that I travelled that road it was quite good as the mining companies had put a great deal of money into it. From
Leonora to Mt Keith is was good and the MRD were working on the rest of the section to Meeka and I would expect that it would be bitumised by now but
check with MRD WA they will give you all the facts

If you go via Leinster, then through to
Sandstone it is now bitumen to
Sandstone then gravel from
Sandstone through to
Meekatharra which at last reports was in good condition.

Wal
According to our road train drivers the road from Agnew(Leinster) to
Sandstone to Mt Magnet is all bitumen(or nearly),road from
Sandstone to Meeka is good(gravel) but there are a couple of horror cattle grids that can send you airbourne unless they have been fixed in the last year.
Hope this helps.
