I have been using bio in my Jack now for a couple of months approx 15 tanks, I have had no problems with blocked filters, I did just this weekend fill with normal diesel and noticed that there was more smoke, and the motor was alot noisier. and there was no noticeable power difference so its back to bio for me.

one should always check and probably replace fuel filters after the first tank or two.

The Biodiesel is a better solvent than dino diesel and dissolves the sedimentary deposits of years of fossil fuel in the fuel system.

This tends to get - as it should - picked up by the fuel filter.

I suggest you speak to your retailer if you are buying it from Gull or SAFF, or look at www.biofuelsforum.com

Ciao for now

The only 2 problems i have with biodiesel for my 92 4.2 patrol is 1) that i haven't started making it myself yet; 2) I am only able to get 20% in my town! The fuel filter got clogged, badly, after 2 tanks. Changed filter and have ben cruising ever since.

Will probably change filter again with next oil change just because i feel like it. Buy yourself a fuel filter now and keep it on hand. I noticed the fuel filter was clogging up after 3/4 of the first tank.

I have found the tappets are quiter, engine runs smoother, and no smoke out of the exhaust. Ticks all round. Love the stuff.
