Over the last two months there have been posts on the forum re vibrations in new JEEPS whilst mobile and stationary.

The KJ JEEP I purchased last year (Jan 05) has had a couple of minor things go wrong with it including a dud torque converter.

There were no vibrations attributed to the Torque Converter in this case, however I was told that there had been a t least 4 cases of the Torque Converters causing problems, due to one of the two 'vanes' inside the Torque Converter loosing its 'attachment' to the drive shaft.

In my case it was apparently just slipping, causing absolute havoc with the engine/transmisssion management systems.

However I was wondering if in other cases, if such a malfunction could/would cause vibration. If so it may explain why the subject vibration/s appear whilst moble and stationary in park or neutral.

Whatever - something to think about.
