I have a 2006 pathfinder and Im wondering if somebody else has had the problem of the 4wd light coming on and the little car on the dash (that tells you when the 4 wd is on or off) disappears. I have had it havening several times , when it happens the car looses power and you feel like the 4wd was disengaged in motion(like it popped out) but the 4wn wasnt on.
Also I have problems with the a/c the air conditioner stops cooling until you move the temp gauges and put them back to the sset temp and the air pressure fluctuates, like it speeds up couple of seconds and then goes back.
Also the air circulation option of recirculate and vent (let air in from the outside) switces when it wants on its own.
I took it to the dealer and

the dealer told me that they couldnt do anything about the light unless it was on at the time received but I recorded it in my phone and they looked at it and they looked it up on the manual and said it was a cable that goes on the transmission, they fixed it but it happened again now after 3000kms.
about the air they tell me they dont detect anything.

I presume yours is ST-L or TI with climate air, the fan will automatically increase or decrease the air out put depending on inside temp and also outside air temp, it will also open or close the recirculate/fresh vent also depending on your inside set temp eg if its 35 outside and you want a set point inside of 20 then it will set the recirculate/ fresh vent to recirculate so that it is not sucking hot air from outside so will cool cabin down quicker, the air compressor will also cut in and out , BUT if you are noticing the air temp in the cabin getting to warm then yes you do have a problem, when you dial down to minimum temperature does the symbol C/16 come up in the display if so the aircon compressor should cycle on off like a non climate air (except holdens VT and upwards) over riding the auto system, if this is not happening then once again there is a problem, you should also have a manual control where as you can still run the system but with air button turned off so compressor will not cut in. Having to move controls back set temp to get air to work is also not write. If you have the dual climate air then that is another story as well but still works on the same pricible, as far as your 4wd system light etc I have no idea. Regards Steve M

Hi Jorge,

I have a 2005 ST-L, I have never had any problems with mine !
With regards to the circulation , I dont ever use the auto option, set it to manual and you can close or open the vent. The auto system is bloody annoying !

Get the cable looked at again, dont give up.

good luck
