Hi all,
I'm after a spare wheel rim to suit GU Patrol. Size 16 x 8 in. (standard steel rim). Does anyone know of wreckers or anyone near Syd who may have such a thing.
All advice accepted with gratitude.
Cheers
Cocka

Hi Cocka,
Ring around all you local Nissan dealers, spare parts section and ask for 2nd hand rims. They can usually be got that way, particularly if there's been a special on mags. If they don't have them, most will take your number and get back to you when they come in, although you may have to wait a little while.
A few months ago we located 3 for our new campertrailer from Giant Nissan in
Perth, $100 each brand new, one still in box. Got another one 2 weeks ago (for a 3rd spare between car and trailer) from Mandurah Nissan, $75 cash brand new still in box and came with genuine wheel studs and the black plastic cap that goes over the hub. Pity you're not in
Perth, they had some left. (We considered buying them all to make a bit of money on).
OK, so your not in
Perth but you may have some luck using this approach where you are.
:o) Melissa
PS: We tried tyre dealers and 4WD wreckers with no luck.

Thanks Melissa for your reply (all three of them)
I'll give them a try but they are usually a lot greedier here on the coast coast, I don't know that I'll get them so cheap.
Kasa if your still on you might try the same. The number for
Perth 4WD Centre is 94701755.
Cheers
