hi all
what do you use as a recovery point at the back of the Jeep.
Do you bolt on a hook or can you use a the towbar.

Becafeful of what you do pull with it. Saw a Jeep Cherrakee with the tow bar pulled right off the rear of the vehicle after an attempt to tow a campervan down the canning. Best of luck

Use the pin in the Tow hitch, not the Tow ball

Just so we are clear, you remove the tow ball/Tongue assembly from the receiver. The Pin that holds that assembly in place, what you do is feed
the loop on the strap inside the receiver and slide that pin threw
the loop in the strap to secure the strap in place.
That way if the pin fails very little happens, the strap will just go flying (You still wouldn’t want to be in it’s way) But if the tow ball fails and goes flying
well that is going to do some damage.
Or just get a rear recovery point from ARB, TJM; just make sure you use High tensile bolts, Grade 10.9 or 12 would be best. You will need to get these sorts of Bolts from a Bolt supplier; I don’t think the average hard ware store will stock them
Cheers.
