I have just purchased a new explorist 600 and still have the older 100.
Funny thing both are tuned to the same local zone preference yet the cheaper 100 series always picks up more(2 or more) satellites. Why so? I do like having the added features of the 600 but in a fixing situation the 100 comes out on top.

Just tried another comparison. Switched both units on inside the house. The 600 picked up 2 sats the 100 none. Its got me.Maybe I will try the experiment again tomorrow.
