No thank you Willem , I have been to the Landcruiser
Park and looked at a
hill ,looked at twice and said to myself ....I have no need to go up that , Later on that day a Kia Sportage went out on a Tilt Tray , I drove
mine home, Now I do believe you had someone say that their is no
places to go 4X4ing in USA when I posted about the Dodge Nitro , I would class that as extreme.....ly dangerous...Besides if ya went over the side it tear that bluddy skirt off ,.
Good one Willem
Doug

Yeah my sentiments too. I do go some silly
places but at my age this is a tad extreme. Though if dared I might consider it....... lol. The comment I made was about Californian Roads(not the USA) and was pertinent to driving on roads and not offroading. Yep the skirt would get damaged...............
Cheers

that last bit is near vertical. There must be a winch involved for that thing to defy gravity like that.
But even so,,,i still want a fresh pair of undies please :):)lol

And a good pic that shows how steep the lion's back is...
You have to go up and do a 9 point turn at the top before coming down!

Now look what you did Willem. I looked at this post an hour and a half ago and got side tracked watching offroad videos on the net....
An hour and a half later and I've lost my train of thought and my witty remark....
These guys are nuts!
These videos aren't bad...

Morning Willem,
The 'pucker' factor in that clip would be just a tad high...
I tend to look at where I need to go with a 4wd.....and at my time of life sure don't need to go there....lol lol
Cheers

Hi Willem, There was a program a while ago ,one of those "Amazing Stories" type thing and someone missed a gear going down that
hill (or one very like it) They bounced all the way down and survived. Might be worth searching for.
Cheers

actually it was a guy who had gone up and down and rode the brakes all the way down, asked his gorlfriend if she wanted a go and of course the brakes faded on the way down a second time as she was riding them even harder.
now thats SCARY

Moab is awesome, totally awesome. The tracks are wicked steep and the grip between tyres and
the rock is unbelievable. I've only been there to mountain bike (don't know how I'll get the 4wd on the plane, carry-on luggage maybe?) but you can ride up nearly 45 degree slopes as long as you can get the power into the pedals and don't fall backwards. Hiring a dirt bike is probably a great idea. And if you get tired of riding you can just sit by and watch all the guys with the monster 4wds trying out their skills on all the drops, steps, boulders, inclines, bowls, you name it, it's all there in the sun, sun, sun.
