Hey guys,

I was filling my cruiser with gas today while another cruiser was next to me filling up also.. While i was filling up i looked up at the guy at the cruiser was finished filling his car (100L of gas, i looked on his meter) then i looked at mine as realised it had only pumped out 35L... My gas tank fills VERY slowly i counted its about 1L every 8 seconds, so as you can imagine its TAKES years... How can i speed this filling process up? What would have caused the slow filling?

Any ideas more than welcome

Justin

First place I would be checking would be the feed line from your fill connector to the tank.

If a solid line look for a crushed or "dent" which will act as a restrictor. If flexible look for a twist or kink

Under normal filling circumstances your tank should fill much faster than you describe.

Slow filling tanks give me the heebies wether they be petrol, diesel or gas. If it's frustrating enough you may consider having an LPG Fitter check it out.

Hi Cipher, Have you tried not depressing the lever as much. I've got a very recent conversion and noticed that it would cut out or slow down at 3/4 full. Not impressed.

I thought maybe it's freezing up so tried to only give it a slow fill, low and behold it filled up faster.

Many many moons ago we had a Jackaroo on gas ,always found that tank took ages to fill if another vehicle was filling with gas at same time ,could be the actual pump u were at.

As mentioned earlier double check fill line. Check what sixe the fill line is and when the conversion was done as anything after 2000 ?? fill line had to be a minimum of 5/16 or 8mm inside dia.
