4WDs Low Accident Rate Research

Don't know if anybody saw tv last night, but there was a "quickie" item which stated that recent research had shown that 4WDs had a LOWER accident rate than normal vehicles, and that some insurance companies would be looking at these findings and would have to LOWER some of their premiums accordingly.

Eat your heart out ... Harold ... (who has remained strangely silent since the information has been made public).

And on that note - spent some time in Darwin earlier this year as part of an "around the block" trip, and the friends with whom I stayed told me that Mr Scruby had recently been there to "encourage" the locals to introduce speed limits across NT. My friend tells me the authorities listened politely before showing where the airport was. What a nerve this joker has!!!!!
