Bit off topic guy's but am looking for anyone who has a handle on receiving and watching TV over broadband internet.
We live in country SA and my son lives where TV reception is almost non existant, espectially since its all gone digital, but he can have broadband connected, so we are looking at all the options before he spends 2 grand on a tower setup which will be only be a poor coverage.
We have looked at Sat TV for caravaners, but channels selection is poor and he isnt interested in austar.
We are having trouble finding out what australian programs can be viewed, and how good is the quality and what sites maybe able to tell us more etc and any other advice would be great.

Cheers Pesty

Am working mate, just here for a tank fill.
I wish you would stop comparing cruisers to your trol, cruisers dont need much fixing, they just work evey day , day after day.

Hi Pesty,

At Mt Dare (north of SA) we have broadband internet and television both by satellite. Satellite TV you can have a non-subscription TV including Impaja, Channel 7 SBS and ABC for a one-off smart card payment. Requires dish, LNB, decoder and TV. Works for us.
Cheers

Thanks Ian,

Yep know where Mt Dare is, camped there in 2000, must be time to come make another visit and test that new pub out!
Thanks for the info, but we have seen that setup, it is the same channels as the carravaners use, they are hoping to get a better channel selection, but cant find anyone who knows about it all that can talk plain english to us LOL

Cheers Pesty
