The
Holland Track is very tight in
places with twists and turns running full lock on the steering wheel. You will scratch your vehicle and you will most likely damage you camper trailer unless you drive VERY CAREFULLY.
In October we start to move into summer. Some days can be warm and others can be mild. Why dont you do a Google and ask the question there. I am sure you will find 3459876534560099877 answers at your disposal.
Enjoy the
Holland Track. It is an interesting drive with some good flora and fauna.

Hi Uppy, will be on the track end of next week. Had good advise given by members on a previous post a week or so ago. Apparently no problems taking a camper trailer, however, rain could cause problems and beware of nasty little roots that could cause punctures. Fire ban applies from beginning of november. Its spring so I dont think the temps will be that high. Im doing
Hyden to
Coolgardie, my little bible suggests fuel sufficent for a 450 km range. If you havent yet got one I suggest you pick a copy of '
Holland Track and
Cave Hill Woodlines' from any newsagent. Worth its weight in gold. Ill let you know how I got on when I get back. Cant wait. cheers nissnut.

That book is available from ExplorOz - in the Adventure
Shop, no need to go to a newsagent.

Hi Uppy,
I managed to write off both sides of my camper van and rip off the awning, the track is simply too tight for long vans. Also a Jayco Swan that was along for the trip did some damage too. Its the snaking around the trees that did the damage.
But a shorter camper trailer should be OK, especially if its a steel sided one and not a canvas top soft cover type (branches may grab on the soft top).
As for the actual track, I did not even use 4WD from memory, but if its rains then thats another story!
Have Fun!
Cheer
Captain

Long time no here uppy. Make sure you leave yourself enough time to do the
cave hill woodlines at the
coolgardie end of the track. More pituresque as it wasnt burnt with some good rocks with fascinating formations and dams (dont forget the yabby nets) and CT no problems

Uppy,
I did the
Holland Track 3 years ago towing a 7 x 5 camper trailer towed by a Rodeo. I had no problems and did no damage. The track is very windy and tight in
places but take it easy in the narrow stuff and you won't have a problem. The track isn't hard and you wont need 4wd unless it's been raining. We went there in October and the second day we were out the temp. got to 35. But 2 days later when we were still in the area it was down to the mid 20s. It's a great drive especially if you read up on the history of the track before you go. Also I agree with the others about doing the
Cave hill woodline track while in the area. The bush land through here is even better than The
Holland track

Uppy,
I have also done it with a camper trailer although
mine is streamlined shape with nothing to damage I bumped a few trees on tight corners.
So to answer your question OK for a neat trailer but not for a big rig with lots of things hanging out that might get ripped off. Including the canvas soft top type tend to get a few hitts on the back corners. The narrow windy sections are mostly through the Salmon Gums and Mally sections where the trees are close together. It is a very
well trodden track so not too much scrubb leaning over the track.
Not hot that time of year, but can range from warm to bloody freezing at night and can still be wet and boggy in
places. We have done it over
Easter long weekend and it is very busy.
If you are out there
Cave Hill is
well worth a visit.
