Kipor by coincidence sent me a price list direct from the factory. Plse add 3% if the quantities don't fill a 20' container. Perhaps the ExplorerOz members could form a syndicate to purchase these . Here are the prices, albeit copied from an XL spreadsheet.

Okay who wants to coordinate a syndicate.
I'd be interested in a 1000ti, even if the 3% surcharge was required.
Any idea of the minimum number of units required, or how many would need to be ordered to fill a 20' container?

Plus 10% GST, plus freight, plus import duty (is there any?), plus customs fees, plus no warranty, plus distrubition costs in Oz, plus a lot of people saying "my generator isn't the colour I ordered!" - would probably save A$100 per unit... hmmmmm... think I'll let the existing distributor handle it thanks :)

My thoughts exactly Mike, as
well as I don't mind helping a local bloke send his kids to school and pay the mortgage.

Yer probably right Mike,
As for the second response, any money saved when I purchase cheaper overseas - and not forgetting that these are products manufactured overseas anyway - the money saved goes to paying my mortgage and feeding my kids.
The internet reduced the size of the world a long time ago and it's not going to get any bigger. We might as
well take advantage of it and get used to it.
What I really should do is order the whole container load and sell them on Ebay five a week for the next year like half the other people on there. Even if I only made $150 a unit I'm a long way in front....

I think the only way to do this would be for ExplorerOz to post something in the trader section where people could add their order to a list. We could then do a Loose Cargo Shipment from Kipor and calculate the total value of freight, customs and clearance which is easy enough to do. You'd want an order or at least 10 or 20 units I would think.
