I get these emails and it's an interesting site though never bought anything from it and must admit I wouldn't like to trial downhill on their $99 mountain bike despite its central suspension.

This popped up today, I suppose you pay for what you get but you never know, and as I said, I've never bought anything from this website but they do have some interesting stuff, might be tempted one day.

why notget it from Ironman, they sell same/similar winch for that or a tad more, but at least you can walk in there and get it fixed , if something goes wrong,

Adam is the man to talk to there

This artical should deter you enough about buying it.

I think the only thing it shares with a good winch is its looks.

Well , I have just returned from Vic. high country trip where I had the cruiser & c/t hopelessly stuck exiting a creek crossing up a stepped rutted track . Payed out the cable to start on the first layer and winched 25m with no probs. using the IronMan 12000ibs winch . - duty cycle 30 sec. on 30 sec off with no huge increase in motor temp. at the end .
Sure it was not quick , but it pulled 4.3 tonne up several 400mm steps on a 40 degree slope . It will do me for touring use .
