did anyone read the article about the caravan trip from W.A. to Ayres rock in the motoring section.
the author sounds like he didn't do much "careful planning" as he puts it.
a bit of tyre pressure adjustment might have helped (not mentioned in article).
went over 60 kms to get a "nail puncture" fixed.
complained about red dust and the inability to obtain new tyres en-route.
wants the whole road bitumised.
they should stay on the main roads, at least until they build the Warburton Resort on the gibson desert freeway next year!

Sounds like another newbie looking at a map and thinking that he can tow his van over the tracks marked "highway".

Yes I read the article, and he did not sound like a person who did not plan the trip, he was just reporting on his and he's friends trip.
