Hello every one,Well what a trip we had,it ended up only being 4 weeks instead of 5 but we still had a great time away,The first 2 weeks were spent going from Adelaide up through the Gulf via Lawn Hill and King Fisher Camp where a couple by the name of Kel and Toni Ormiston that run the place.Tony can bake some good bread if you are in need of some, all round great place and great people we spent 3 days there before making our way across the Gulf to Normanton we ended up having 2 full days just lazing around in the rock pools of Leichart Falls and just watching the traffic pass by. We did the train thing at Normanton then the sunset out at Karumba,we made our way acrosss to Cairns were we stayed for 2 days did the skyrail and got the train back down just another great day, then it was in to Townsville to see the sister and to spend a week there. The last week or so we headed back in land through Winton where we spent a night there then on to Jundah and we pulled up camp there on the side of the Thomson River were i cooked up a very nice Chicken roll in the camp oven,we plained to stay 3 days at Innamicka but the weather changed all that when it deciced it would bring in gale force winds and a bloody huge dust storm so we only had a day and a half there before heading home. All in all we went through same awsame country and it was a privlage to have the chance to see it all.cheer's Sir GREENDOG

That's a good (but pretty quick) trip Greendog. Great part of the country.

Did you do the canoe trip up Lawn Hill Gorge?
