I have just ordered a new LC100 and they now come with 17" alloys instead of 16" steel wheels. I used to fit the 16" rims with Goodyear Wrangler ATR tyres and was very happy with wet & dry bitumen performance along with dirt & offroad performance. There wear rates and quietness was also good.

Goodyear don't make theses tyres for 17" rims so I am asking for suggestions. I am reluctant to fit BFGoodrich AT as I think they are noisey. The size needed is 275/65-17. I'm prepared to fit a 275/70 or 285/65 if there is such a beast. I have looked at the Yokohama Geolandar A/T+II on there web site, how does this rate?

Cheers,
Topend.

what about swapping for some 22' BLINGS with some low profile tyres ?? lol

Only kidding , See if the 16" rims clear the calipers and get a second set with whatever off road tyres you like

Not a bad idea.
Saw a landcruiser in the Qld Challenge a couple of weeks ago set up with 20" rims, low profile road rated racing tyres and slightly lowered.
Giving the WRX STIs a run for their money, and the EVO VIIIs.
I think it might have a turbo on the 4.5l and about 600+ hp.
It is faster than a WRX at the hillclimbs.

Just depends if you want to go fast on the bitumen or dirt :o)

Bridgestone A/t's. 275/65/17.

Extremely surprised where these tyres have gone, but they were fitted to a patrol. :)

About to try goodyear MTR's. I think they only come in 265/75 for 17" rims. :(
