Just a short note to thank everyone associated with this wonderful resource.. The amount of assistance with every thing from those bloody deep cycle batteries to towing with cruise control to Cob cooking is invaluable.
On Monday I am off to Carnarvon, Coral Bay ( Nigaloo) Exmouth, 80 Mile Beach, Broom and back though Karajini …. Yes I am rubbing it in.. :) So if you see something resembling the Griswold’s ( Blue Territory, Out Back CT, Two ferrel boys, one nagging boss and a broken man with a home brew in hand) just keep walking……. But if your brave enough please say g-day..
Once again just want to say thanks ladies and gents… Even the soft roader haters ( we are people too..)
Cheers,
Brad..

S/M...agreed, but at least the cart's WARM when we get in :)))

Ooohhhh, how I miss Pirate Rig, too.

I take it you are at GI CPOCK?? Been a few years.

Sorry Nudie....we were talking in Jack-Speak. Plain as to us.

Oi! No 1

You have just been slapped betwen the eyes by a couple of those 'water pussies' who by the look of it may have taken one 'dive' too many.

Or maybe it is/was those orange and blue things on your head - made em thing they had finally met/run into the 'enemy' face to face causing them to regress to another life.

You heard from BONZ lately?????????

Hardest part about enjoying the DFRDB is amalgamating back into civvy life I reckon, and I didn't even get to half the time you blokes have gotten to.

Absoultely!

I miss being able to assume a general level of competence in those around you. Or asking someone do do something out of their comfort zone and get a fair attempt instead of long winded explanation of why that wasn't in their job spec...

I've been out for 6 years now and still miss the sound of serious diesel engines. (V16 MAN with a turbo blower on each bank!)

Hi Brad
We head off next Saturday (23rd) in basically the same direction, but we are going Perth, 80mile beach, Derby, Gibb River Rd, Bungles, Broome, Pt Sampson, Karijini and home! Might see you in one of these places - what dates are you at 80 mile beach and Karijini? We'll be in Maroon Prado and White Pajero both towing downunder camper trailers. 4 adults (that's 2 nagging bosses and 2 broken men- no home brew but probably carlton!) and 5 ferrels (4 boys 1 girl!). We'll keep an eye out for you.
regards
Diana and Howard
