Mr Fawlty
My Fellow Happy Campers.....
In the current Aldi News there are some great goodies on sale from 21 September. I know some of you dislike Aldi because of the somewhat tenuous connections with the "War"...however they have some stuff worthy of your consideration.
1) Portable 240 VAC double hotplate, $29.99. Handy @ a powered site saves using your gas.
2) Portable
toilet 20 litre, $99. Dirt cheap normally in
camping shops these are about $300 & so convenient for those of us who don't book & don't get ensuite sites.
3) Portable gas cookers, $16.99. The single burner ones that normally retail around $20...
4) Numerous other items, tents, sleeping bags, air bed inflators etc etc...
5) Attractive brunette, suitable for use on queen velour airbed $24.99....Complete with repair kit if she springs a leak...
6) Fluro
camping lantern, remote control, rechargeable via 240 or 12 volts, $16.99
I have no connection with Aldi, but I do
shop there whenever possible as I think of it as a very minor protest about the monopoly that the other 2 grocers are trying to maintain...

Call me an old cynic Fawlty but, so far, none of the goods of this ilk I've used have lived up to my expectations - still... I keep trying :)

I bought one of their rattle guns about 2 weeks ago and couldn't get it to work. Clutch wouldn't engage. Took it back for a replacement and tried it in the car
park. Same problem.
Got my money back.
May have been a bad batch or the instructions were faulty.
