I used my Magellan 315 last weekend and it worked fine.

Now it seems to fail to read any satellites. The unit screens work, it knows waypoints etc but just won't locate any satellites. I have tried to reinitialize it but to no avail.

Has anyone got some suggestions for me?????

I have fixed my own problem with the help of other websites. Apparently sometimes they have a heart attack and although I initialized, I should have cleared the memory completely first and then start again.

I did this and it now works fine.

Good to see you were able to fix the problem without the use of some of the brains trust from this forum Alan.:)))

Had the same problem about three years ago and sent it to Magellan and it cost me $99 to have it fixed. Unit has run fine ever since but I'll know what to do next time.
