Can anyone help me with a source of digital maps suitable for use with Oziexplorer for South East Queensland?
I have the 1:250,000 mosaic of Australia but want a scale suitable for eg 1:25,000 or 1:50,000.
Thanks
Peter

There is a GPS
shop on
Ingham Rd
Townsville City end about 200 meters from the set traffic lights, He has some of the best mapping software i've seen , and also could try Olbis at Rocklea and Johnny Appleseed GPS on
Ipswich Rd Annerly

Here are several easy options for SE Qld:
- Sunmap Raster 1:25000 Topographic (mapsheets or mosaic). 400+ digital maps.
- Australian City Streets Version 3

An excellent idea if you don't have a NRMW centre nearby :-)
Wonder if they should do UBD maps also?

Just be a little careful with the 1:25,000.
I have been looking at getting a copy too.
I have some printed versions for particular areas and looking at the mosaic for the rest.
About half are dated 1975 to 1980, while the others are 2000 to 2003.
So check the date for each map.
I have the NATmap 2005 series and was using the 1:1,000,000 map travelling up the pacific highway (just to keep a rough idea where I was) and the map was showing me about 50km east of the highway, and I was not in the bush, but on the new (built 1980s) highway :o).
POIs like
wivenhoe dam are also missing from the 1:1,000,000.
