Hi Guys,
Watching one of my favourite shows. top gear, last night when they put this baby through its paces in Dubai. The locals even closed the road to make it safe.
Well my jaw dropped when he got it to 180 MPH - that's MPH! I think that's a tad over 300KPH - wow! I doubt they will grace the road to
Cape York or the GRR as it is a saloon but a dam quick one. A 6 litre V12 provides the power, maybe an alternative to a 6.5 litre chevy upgrade?
Kind regards

and they call the presenter, James, captain slow....
it was a w12, 2 v6 motors side by side, you could do that with 2 commodore motors!!! 2x3.8=7.6litres

Was more impressed with Icelandic offroad trucks and their thousand HP chevy
motors and the way they threw them around and over cliffs.
As for the lake crossing!! Mind boggling if it was deep
water and not shallow and done for the camera.
Great show, why do we not have a show here like this done for Aussie TV?

Mornin' Beatit,
Did not see that show but was in
Adelaide getting the missus car serviced and the dealership looks after Bentleys. Had a good look/crawl all over the top of the range Bentley.....what a car!!!!
I have known the sales/service manager for some years now and he gave me a real good 'feel' of it....didn't offer a test drive tho'........
He did say that a few months ago he sold one to a local bloke and the guy had it optioned up!! an extra 50+k for a few extras, took the price to about 300k. The new owner drove it out of the showroom and went to Perth/Sydney/
Adelaide, obviously intends to get good use out of it..
Just a car tho' after all.
Cheers
Michael

It was good to see an Aussie (mark Webber) on the show & to be the first F1 diver
to ring up & take the challenge

The claimed top speed mentioned was 195 mph, but he only got it to 180 :-(.
180=324km/hr, 195=351km/hr.
So who is the Stig????
Any guesses?

My guess is that he is the short guy of the trio - can't remember his name.

Don't like your maths. 1klm = .625mls. Therefore 180mph = 288 kph.
200mph = 320kph

Speculators greater than us on here, reckon The Stig may be Damon
Hill, but can get no confirmation.

G'day John,
A lot of secrecy for sure, I noticed they gave Mark Webber a T shirt with I am the Stig written on it. Damon would make sense, the guy drives with finesse.
Kind regards

Always thought it is Damon
Hill but you never know there are a lot of test driver about that you would not know from a bar of soap. I doubt it is one of the presenter even the short dude.

Hi Beatit,
Had the pleasure of a drive of one two weeks ago. It was a Bentley Continental Flying Spur GT. What a car. AWD , w12 Twin turbo, 411kw. Just wish I had an open road and not the streets of the
gold coast to do it on. The thing that surprised me was that you leave the key in your pocket and it knows you are in the car so you start it with the starter button. Amazing.
Will remember the experience for along time.
Regards,
Camwill69

Lucky bugger! I guess the bit that you won't be forgetting the experience for some time means you didn't buy it?
Kind regards

Hi beatit,
Sorry for the delay not logged on at work, just at home. Yes you are correct I did not buy it. It belonged to a client.
It was not even 24 hours old and I asked if he would take me for a drive prior to the end of the Project. He just through me the keys and said lets go.
Very impressive vehicle indeed. And not a bad client either.
Regards,
Camwill69
