Just wanted to let all interested, know, that a few of us went down to Rover
Park on the weekend and what a great spot for families it is.
Not just a 4wd
park as there was animals for the kids to feed, playgrounds, bmx track, a couple of free table games and a general good child friendly atmosphere. So if you have kids and you are prepared to shell out the $30 a day I would recommend trying it out. The better half said the showers let the side down as they were not up to her Hilton standards but I felt they were fine, so maybe take your own shower set-up if you have one.
Camping down by the river would be my pick for our next visit (which is certain to happen) not in the
main camp area as we did this time.
4wd tracks are probably a little on the easier side of moderate from what I saw but interesting enough in
places so as to test some of us out. I did not however get to see all the tracks the property has to offer so there may be some more difficult ones out there.
The company around the
camp-fire on both Sat and Sun nights was great and I would like to thank those that turned up for helping make it a wonderful weekend for my whole family. I was glad to put a few more faces to the screen names I see on this
forum. I would also like to thank a few who let me drive out of the river track without locking the hubs in and totally embarrassing myself in the process (most red faced I have been for a while LOL). I was in the wife's Jackeroo and I have not had to lock hubs in for some time as I normally go in my Nissan with auto hubs, but this is no excuse I know.
I also hope this g's Pezza into doing a trip report with photo's, sometime this year hehehe.
Regards to all, Trevor.

Yes we had a great weekend. After the week Mark and we certainly needed to get away and unwind, and what better way to do that then with good company, a night fire and lots of driving!
Definately
camping by the river is the best spot for sure.
When we were out with Hamish when you guys had lunch we tackled the 'Pajero Challenge'. very rocky indeed and steep, certainly not one to try in Jude's Jackeroo that is for sure... but Mark made sure the track lived up to it's name our Paj.
Another great weekend with us all together.. and now the weather is getting warmer I am sure we will have a lot more to come.
Cheers everyone
Jo

No dramas Shane, sorry we missed you!
Mark wanted to pack in as much driving as he could to make the most of it get before we had to head home.
Take care Shane
Cheers
Jo
