Hi,
I need to replace the front shocks on my 1990 Terrano and have found the recomended EFS shocks to be to short by 15mm so I have settled on the slightly longer OME shocks.
Has anyone had similar experience ?

Hi Pierre
Should all be much the same as they copy the original specs there may have been confusion if they looked up Terrano 11 as the front end is different also are the shocks original? sometimes when they raise the front with the tortion bars they have been known to fit slightly longer shocks and put lower profile bump stops in to get wheel travel back.
where are you located? i have a great contact on the
Gold Coast Qld for parts if you need

Thanks Kev,
I'm in Bris and would appreciate a good spare parts contact, their was no confusion about the make and model.
I think the original shocks were replaced before arrival in Aus as the shocks are Jap and are not connected to the ride adjustment switch between the front seats.
You may have a point about the change to longer shocks as the Jap shocks are 50mm longer than the EFS.

I have just replaced the shocks on my Terrano, I have installed low profile bumpstops (Front) which give a slightly better articulation in the front. I bought my shocks from TJM (XGS) The ones that are quoted in thier book are slightly shorter than the standard ones. (For some reason the shocks on the WD21 Terranos are longer than the WD21 Pathfinders, which they don't realise) I ended up getting a shock that is meant for a Toyota Surf. I had to add a shim to reduce the bolt size in the eye of the shock from 25mm to 16mm. Also had to trim of some of the rubber bush in the eye of the shock. Other than that the shock fits perfectly.
The part is either: (I can't remember which is the front and rear numbers)

I fitted the OME L/T gas shocks on the weekend and had to shave the nylon bush to fit within the lower mount, the bolt size remains the same and fits ok.
Thanks for the info.
