Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone would know where I can get hold of a bamix presawash portable clothes washer or similar? My olds are about to head off on a jaunt and would desperately like to get hold of one. Any thoughts.....
Steve.

I seem to recall that it is just a plastic tub with a lid and a handle to turn it, tumbling the washing inside.
Just buy a round 20L plastic container with a large screw lid. Dump the clothes in that with some
water and deterg. Screw lid down. Tie onto roof rack and go for a drive. Voila! Washed clothes at the end of the drive.
There - I've saved them heaps of money!

Rays Outdoors have a similar machine, same principle .... different name.
I think it sells for around $69.00.

Google "Wonder Wash".
This small tub is pressurised (don't know what that does).
Daughter gave me hers but have never used it.
Have seen them in NeverNever
Camping Shop in Gympie (Qld) for under $100.
Hope this helps.

We've had one for years. They don't appear to do much until you actually get to use it. Use lukewarm
water with a bit of soap powder and it is amazing just how clean things get. The
water gets very hot and the system generates quite a lot of internal pressure. How it works I don't know (and don't really care). Haven't use a bucket but don't believe the end result would be quite as good (although they would be acceptable). Certainly don't regret our purchase.
