I recently posted a joke, the content was not rude or racist yet I received an email saying they have taken the post off. AHH???????
Can someone explain?

Did you reply to the email with this question? The site owners would be the best people to ask as opposed to using the
forum - they're pretty helpful and will prob answer your question.
Only other reason I can think of was that it wasn't posted on a Friday perhaps?

Yep. Not posted on a friday I'd say. The owners like to keep all jokes to the one post, which happens on a friday. All others get deleted - like this post will.

yep, not sure how long you've been around here but EO don't like (prefer not) to see jokes, esp friday funnies, posted earlier than friday. AND esp when the poster says something along the lines of "i'm bored"......

What if it's a Friday for me? My roster allows me to have a long weekend every 2nd weekend which makes every second Thursday my Friday. Friday funnies for me should be posted on every second Thursday !

It has nothing to do with being touchy.
Jokes on this
forum got totally out of hand about 3 years ago. Almost every second post was some joke or other. David, the site owner, then regulated the joke section to Fridays only and it has worked
well ever since. There is an amount of tolerance as every now and then a joke is posted on a Thursday but on the whole jokes are deleted at the discretion of the site owner. Other posts get deleted as
well if they violate the Terms and Conditions of the
Forum. Apart from the site owner, who does not spend all of his time watching the
forum, there are other Moderators who may remove a post if it is deemed necessary.
