Has anyone travelled the Callawa track recently? Has it improved or is it still quite overgrown?

A group of us travelled part of the track (220 kms) in July this year, we went from
Gary hwy to Picture
Hill. Yes it was overgrown, slow going and very vehicle scratchy in
places. But a good trip.
