anybody here has fitted a
snorkel on a GM truck ? eg. Silverado or Sierra
there is no standard product for that but maybe someone found a way ?
The Ford version is supposedly not very good, but I do not know from own
experience, some say it does not allow enough air for the Duramax but
I have a hard time believing that ...
thanks

I would agree that a normal safari wouldnt allow enough air for a Duramax....
I'd be going a 4inch custom job personally.

Are you talking for the F250 version .. I was under the impression
that it was already more than 4" or is it just that same like the toyos and
other smaller engines ? ... I will have to go and see F-trucks to check it out.
Yes I guess a custom job is in order here .. any idea who might do that ?
had asked at the local shops (OL and others) but they are pretty hopeless..
If they can not buy it off the shelf it is not possible .. thats what you hear.
In the US there is nobody doing snorkels ... not enough off road and not enough dust or
water ... I am not sure at this stage if I would do an expensive custom
job or if I just leave it and tarp it if I have to .. the dust thing is questionable anyway unless you have another airfilter in the
snorkel and then you have a flow problem again...
thanks for answering

never seen a safari
snorkel 4inch...
theres custom 4b
places that will make 4inch snorkels, or go to an exhaust place and buy some stainless, and make one up, and polish it.. they look horn on the right truck.. nothing like bleep exhaust tube...
