It’s amazing some people reluctance to lend a hand.

If I see somebody in trouble, I am more than wiling to lend a hand and a hope they would too when the situation is reversed.

I too have been on the receiving end of a helping hand on the beach (gear selector got stuck in neutral somehow) and understand how scary this can be with an incoming tide.

Hope you are wiser for the situation and out of curiosity have you done much beach work before? did you have your tyres down? Sadly these situations are often the best way to learn good ways to help yourself out of trouble. Not good at the time but can be good looking back on them.

Safe travels, Trevor.

We towed 4 kids in a busted Pajero (no reflection on Mitsi - backpackers were conned), Windjana Gorge to Derby: hope others would do the same for ours. [the Missus 'n me are too wrinkly to worry about]. bleep does happen, eh.

Just had a day on Bribie beach (yesterday) and one of those new VW Combie vans was stuck on the exit. A 100 series was driving its ways around to the back of it to snatch him out. I would've helped if no one was going to, but all was in hand and saw him drive past us as we were re-inflating tyres. Good to know there's a few people willing to help :o)

Gary,

Glad to see everyting worked out in the end. It must be really frustrating being in trouble and and ignored by those who can help.

IK realise you were stressed when writing but I did have to read your post about five times before I could comprehend what it was about.

Punctuation is Powerful.
An English professor wrote the words:
"A woman without her man is nothing"
on the chalkboard and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.
All the males in the class wrote:
"A woman, without her man, is nothing."
All the females in the class wrote:
"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

R.
