Hi all, just picked up a pair of 100w halogen bulbs for the spotties and noted 130w bulbs on the shelf. Question; whats stopping me fitting these instead ?

extra heat could melt your reflectors if they are plastic...

I haven't had probs with the reflectors but the clear plastic covers started to blister - and that was with the 100w globes!

I tried similar before with a pair of 55w spotties and some 100w globes and blistered the plastic badly enough to just chuck them out.

Unless you like to replace bulbs often stay away from the 130 watt globes.

If you really want to have more light and better penitration down the road with your spoties, I retro fitted HID's to my IPF's, cost me about $250 from ebay, its the best thing that I have ever done, I can now fry the the Roos at 1km no problem.
cheers
