36 elderly chariots will take part in the re-enactment of the Burra to Morgan run tomorrow. Cars have to be pre 1919.

A friend of mine is driving a 1912 Ford which he has converted to a ute.

I am sure it will be a far cry from the original run in 1906 as the road is now a wide and straight bit of blacktop for 88km between the two towns.

Cheers

I saw a big line up of vintage cars this morning at Gepps Cross. Wonder if that was them before heading up that way??

Yeah maybe, Stu.

I also saw them & got to Burra myself, Sat at lunch time, so got the answer there about what/why. Saw a sweet little Belgian car, a FN. Such elegant and simple machinery.

BTW, they aren't Vintage if pre 1919. they are Veteran. Vintage is 1919 to 1930 (used to have a vinty for about 15 years, heaps of fun.)

Cheers

Must be the weekend for unusual processions. The local pony club had a lively procession this morning of around 100 young riders. Nice to see young people not making the headlines.
