After a great weekend in Melbourne Go Eagles I filled the Patrol up at Wanneroo with Diesel $131.9 and noted Unleaded was $1.139 on passing the service station in Geraldton 4 1/2 hrs later our prices were D $1.429 and Ul $1.329 .My Question is how come Unleaded costs .19c extra and D only 11c when both are transported the same way either truck or ship, at least now the unleaded drivers are geting riped of not the diesel users .

has been several articles in the Geraldton Guardian about it already but it made no difference. Wholesale ULP price was down 15 cents but retail only 4.
Happened to see the Perth area boss of Gull a couple of weeks back and told him that I wouldnt be showing my loyalty to Independant Gull, only on price.
He seemed really upset and very concerned-NOT.

But you still paid too much, as Gull is 133.9 diesel.

Creative accounting #2

Town on major highway, 70km's from nearest refinery, diesel $136.9. Another 50km's further away diesel $132.9

So it is actually 4 cents per litre cheaper to transport it 120k instead of only 70k's.

Unleaded similar in that it is always 4 - 6 cents cheaper

Go figure!
