Hi
Can anyone help me please??
I have no 4wd lights on the dash

Is there a fuse some where?
Or do i have a problem?
It seems to be selecting 4wd ok
Has this happen to anyone else?
Its a 2004 Toyota Prado T/D Manual
Cheers Jon

I thought the prado was full time 4x4 ? and the light will only come on when you go to low range or am I confusing this with a cruiser?

The centre lock light should come on when you engage HL. Diesel/petrol shouldn't make a difference.

A couple of times though in mine have engaged HL and then had to drive for a short section 1-200m before seeing the lock up light. Once even further. I think the owner manual says something about short burst of acceleration to get it to lock. I know it does to release it. If it hasn't been use for a while, could just need a run to lock.

could also just be a dash light globe has blown?

The light only comes on when the centre diff has actually locked in. Someytimes you need to drive it a bit like AJ says.

Phil G is right, the 4wd light will come on ONLY when the centre lock has encountered resistance hence locking. It's normally off.
