If its "brand new" then it isnt "reconditioned" or "remanufactured"
maybe they are intending people to put them in go carts or something?

If they're "Brand New" at $5,600, how come we keep hearing horror stories of $13-$14K repair bills for the grenades? Can't cost $7-$8k to swap a donk, or am I in the wrong business?

As Muzz has said above that would be just the motor no turbo, I/cooler ect ect.
Cheers, Trevor.

Actually Trev, I was asking the question?
Surely that price wouldn't include turbo, aircon, power steer, etc?
But would it include the fuel pump and injectors? I'm told these items alone are worth as much as the motor itself.

Hi Muzz,
I can't see how that price could include the pump, injectors, turbo or anything else apart from
the block with a head on it.
Trevor.

Good point John. By the way, anyone know how much an auto tranny would be worth, just in case I need a spare one of them as well !!!

That's reallty good news , while the real problem is small , it still hurts if its you .
This at least puts a limit on cost of fix and should give some comfort to 3lt owners .

Wish they were on special a couple of months earlier .
Almost paid that much to get a cracked head sorted , a bit extra and I could have had a bottom end in the garage , just in case .
Would be nasty if these were a backlog of early engines , and they had something like pistons with a different alloy content to the later ones !
Glenn.
