The new Navy patrol boats at top speed with engines turning at 1900RPM suck 1100 Litres per hour at a speed of around 28knot’s, now that’s efficiency, MTU Yah.

Any chance the V12 would fit into a GU Patrol.......
Probably go a bit quicker than the 2.8TD.

the new audi 6.0L V12 diesel has 100kw and 600nm at 1000rpm. It has 200kw and 1000nm at 2000rpm.

It makes 3 to 4 injections per cyliner per cycle using deformation crystals and an electric current which make an old pump actuator look about as accurate as a blind man shooting a pin head at 1000m.

It has 370 odd KW at full bore.

Its in a big heavy and safe 7 Seat family car and does 0-100 5.5 secs

It uses 11.9L per 100km.

that gentlemen, is what I call advancement in technology
