Hi Guys
I have a GU patrol with ABS and was wondering if there are any issues in wiring in a teconsha brake controller, I took the old one of the GQ and was going to wire it into the GU, I downloaded the wiring diagram from Tekonsha and it mentions a different wiring location/setup for the stoplight wire, I dont see why it should be different, the stop wire "simply" opens a circuit and the inertia switch pushes down the current.
Any comments, Thanks

The fact that your car has ABS won't affect how the brake controller works. The stop light switch still powers up the system the same.

You won't have any problems.
Some of the latest models with the 4 wire brake switch and electronic cruise control could be a problem. In this case bring a wire back from the stop light when you feed the blue trailer brake wire through.

I fitted my Prodigy to the Jackaroo which has both ABS and cruise control. The only difference here was an second wire pair on the brake pedal switch which de-activates the cruise control when the brake is applied. The first wire pair on the switch is for the brake light activation, so that's the one I used for the Prodigy connection. Just had to make sure I used the cold side, which was easy to find with a multimeter.
All works fine. The instructions do mention that for some cars you have to tap off the brake light at the rear (or further forward if you can find the right wire!)
