Yeah, i know, another bloody fricge question.
Yes i have read the archives, and there are alot of threads there.
What teamp setting do most people use on a Waeco 80lt, the one with the digital readout.
I gather the readout is for the freezer section, so am wondering what the fridge temp would be. If is set the freezer at say -10, would the fridge be down around 2-3deg, or am i way off.

I have the old model with the seven lights. I also use a thermometer. One of those ones that sticks on outside and the sensor goes in the fridge. I recommend you use one to get a feel for the different temperatures within the cabinet.

When mine is showing -10 in the freezer the fridge varies from about 3 to 6. It also depends on the time of day. In the heat, the far end warms up as it is only relying on radiated cold from the freezer end. During the night it gets colder on the same setting.

When running as all fridge, set the way I like it, it goes from -2 to 4, from end to end.

I got the thermo from K Mart for about $15. With the sensor on the wire, you move it around to check what is where and when.

The actual plug that goes to the fridge,,,,,mine is on one end down the bottom.
I got the hard wire kit with the fridge and that will go in the patrol, but not sure which way the plug/wire from the fridge should be.....At the door, or facing the rear seat.

hi doggy i have a 110 litre waeco and i run it the same as a fridge at home so the frige side has to be below 4deg say 2-3 deg perfect any lower and your beer will freeze. freezer side, rember -17 freezes ice cream at that temp it will suck the guts out of the batteries so i run at about -6 to -10 and depends on in it and out side temp. doggy you have to ballance between getting the best out of your fridge and the duration out of your batteries. hope this helps dags
