Hi. After reading this
forum and doing a bit of Internet searching on Trip Computers, I am interested in the ScanGuageII (see www.scangauge.com).
My questions are:
(1) Has anyone fitted one to a LC100TD?
Mine is a 2004.
(2) Does anyone have suggestions on where to fit the display? The cable connection into the unit seems to restrict the likely locations.

If you searched the
forum you should have found that I have commented on it several times.
I have a series one model in my Jackaroo 3.5, and the thing is fantastic. I have it on my dash top to the right.
As I have LT tyres with about +3.5% diameter, I have set the scanguage speedo to read +4% and now use it instead of the main speedo.
That's just one of the uses. When I copped crap fuel recently which blocked the gauze strainer in the
tank as
well as the main filter, the check engine light came on (code was "too lean under accelleration") and I was able to clear the code immediately without having to discharge the computer.
My recommendation - get one. The only better option needs a laptop and software from www.autotap.com . So if you are already set up with laptop, I'd say go for the autotap which is a bit dearer but has a lot more features, if not grab one of these.
The web site says he only ships to the US and Canada, but I had a bit of email chat with him and he sent it to me for the US price and no extra for freight. Check with him for its usefulness on your diesel vs petrol vehicles.
The cable is long enough to go anywhere in the front of the car.

Nope, won't work on 2004 TD...
The same applies to petrol Prados from 2003-August 2004 and
all the current Diesel Prados...

Nope Patrols don't even have the ODB2 connector, cause they don't sell them in the USA...

My 2002 3.0Di Patrol does have an OBD-II socket, but it isn't ISO 9141 compliant. Nissan now use the OBD-II plug on there Consult-II diagnostic system. I know ScanGauge won't work on diesel patrols, but it may on 4.8 petrol models. It works on some Pathy's and Xtrails because they were sold in the US.
US models need them for their emission testing only, but the Nissan Consult system gives out much more information from the ECU, BCU and ABS systems.
