How's the 2.7 petrol motor rate, that toyota is running in the Prado's, particulary withauto trans?
What's the difference in power between this motor & the 3.0 turbo diesel?
Anyone got any actual fuel figures for these 2 prado's..
Im guessing the Prado is the pick of the real 4x4 wagons these days given the 3.0td nissan probs.....

Its an underrated motor. 112Kw from memory.
Assuming that you're talking 90series, it was never popular because
- the 3.4 and TD were better,
- the 2.7 only came out in the poverty pack, - small tyres, no cruise, no CD, no fast glass, no remote central locking.
- it missed out on all the good extras - it was the only model that missed out on the 69litre subtank.
They stopped making the auto trans models in 2000.
But given how cheap they are second hand, they can be a good buy.
