Gidday,
Today I decided to tidy up the car and attend to a few other duties prior to my next trip. The rear end of my 4WD has a drawer set, fridge (slide) and extends to the back of the front seats. Underneath the latter is a 60Lt
water tank.
As is my want. I decided to flush the
tank prior to
water treatment. The outlet watercock was opened, then the hose inserted. Things were proceeding magnificently, until I decided to turn my attention to generator maintenance.
Five minutes later Murphy identified an opportunity..... If the inflow is greater than the outflow,
Water World is created within the car.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. The carpets needed a good clean (as did the
water tank).
Once again Murphy and I are'nt talking. I appreciate his efforts in educating us, but sometimes he's a pain in the proverbial!
Can't talk anymore (have to clean the rifle).
Regards
Kim

Kim,
Yo made a serious mistake in not sprinkling shampoo powder on the car floor, had you done so the
tank would not have overflowed.

Ian,
Many thanks for that excellent advice mate. I now realise that every serious 4WDriver should have a bottle of shampoo in their kit. This could become mandatory prior to a
river crossing!
Is there a particular brand you prefer?

It must be a brand with a Flip-Top lid not Screw-On, how else is the lid to come open and spew shampoo about when NOT required.

It is a requirement to have at least one toddler to stand on said bottle of shampoo for this method to be effective.

Hi Gramps,
Its worse than that. The Bloody dog got its nose stuck up the breach after dinner. Can't get the cleaning rod out.
I'm going to place a charge in a certain orifice to address the problem.
Please don't discuss this with Murphy.

goodday kim
i would have thought by now that like a lot of us you would have realised Mr Murphy is not a talker but a doer and he never issues warnings
ie driving to work on friday after 2 days off crook 1k from home no clutch with very little warning????????

Idf it had truely been Murphy, then it wouldn't have happened ON THE WAY HOME, and it sure as heck wouldn't be 1 km from home either....

Thanks guys,
I'm feeling at lot better now. On reflection, I've cut the house hose in half (along its entire length)...... It now delivers half the volume of
water!
Having a bit of problem getting the right brand of shampoo. The Sheila persons down at the local shopping centre don't seem to understand my dilemma.
Not sure about this O'Shaughnessy guy. Is he Murphy's twin brother?
Regards
Kim
