I am trying to find a convenient place under the bonnet to hard wire a big red air compressor. Just wondering if they have to be horizontal, found a good spot between the radiator and
water bottle, but it needs to be vertical. Anyone know of any issues if they are mounted vertically?
Thanks

Blacky i can not see a problem with that its only an electric motor with a crank & piston on the end , unless it is oil lubed maybe check with the manurfacter ( excuse spelling ) .

Don't know what vehicle you have.
On my 80 series I have my Big Red mounted on a board (horizontally) which is sandwiched under the original battery and sticks out between the battery and the grill.
It has worked fine there for many a year now.
