Hi,
Almost back after 5 mths off work, just over 1 month to go. At a mates place now so have access to the web for a short time. We had the bulk of 4 mths heading across the Kimberly towards
Broome and everywhere in between. Had a number of dramas with both vehicle and camper but nothing that stopped us for much over a few days. Saw the best of people and the worst. Worst was a business trying to rip us off with vehicle repairs, surprising that they were an agent of RACWA. Quoted price was initially $8k to weld some chassis cracks, eventually got it done with a panel beater for
well under $500 and you wouldn't believe the tow cost. Still when you look back the good out ways the bad.
Don't have good access to the web so will need to wait until I'm home to send in a good report and hopefully answer any questions on our trip. Dearest fuel was $2.25/l and cheapest back here in Qld.
There are certainly some great spots out there but in many ways I'm glad to be back in Qld and on the way home. Just spent two days at the Hall of Fame and Qantus museum in
Longreach. Great value for money and would have to be one of the best set up
places we've seen.
Best go will send in a better report and give any feedback on
places, prices and what to look for in the area we travelled when I get back at the end of the year.
