No chance. I offered that mongrel company the use of some of my gear over 3 years ago when one of the buses was in the sh1t. Of course they broke it and we're still waiting for the replacement.

C'mon the tide I say.

Cheers

Hey Rosco

Yeh - I'd say the tide had already done its thing as there were several disgruntled tourists standing around with their packs etc dripping water from them. We wondered if their was any compensation offered to them - who knows what they had in them - videos, cameras, phones - could have ended up a very costly day out. Cheers - greg S

Regards, Trevor.

Evening Mr Trevor,
No mate we didn't sit around for the recovery, though we would have liked to, but we needed to get up to Ocean Lake and set up camp. They had a couple of their own buses that looked to be giving assistance with very big snatch straps at the ready. There were plenty of tourists hanging around as well as the ones from that bus, with water logged back packs with who know's what in them....

Did you do the Mt Mee day trip on Sunday, I had my Butt firmly planted in our lounge downstairs watching Bathurst.

Shaswie and I were the only takers and it suited me better if we went on Saturday, so that's what we did. Turned out to be a pearler of a day, found one awesome track in particular that really tested both the Nissan and the Prado. Probably lucky there wasn't many more vehicles (and less capable) as it would have taken forever to do this one stretch of track.
Driving at 10AM still with misty type fog hanging around, was more like driving in the high country of Vic or NSW, very nice indeed.

Will catch up with you all again soon. Hope the whole crew up there are well.
Regards, Trevor.

Cheers Bruce.

Good to hear you're back with us, hope your work up north was fruitful. You definitly missed a good day in Mt Mee. We've driven most of the tracks and have a good data-log now, but there are still a few left to explore. The one Trev was talking about is NOT even on the map (he he). Still got to fix the sidestep :o)... We found another track that went down to a creek bed (failry steep), but didn't finish that one off - next time. Trying to talk Trev into organising an xmas get together LOL. Andrew.

It was a last minute thing and I only have a certain amount of EO email addresses. Let me know your email & I'll put you on my list for future outings :o) Andrew.

Sorry Craig,

I told Andrew I would ask a few more people but ended up too busy to send out an email, and as Andrew said it was a last minute thing also. If you like the sidesteps the way they are on the cruiser, then it was probably just as well you didn't come, as it did get ugly in a few spots. (Just what I was looking for though LOL!!!)

See you on another one before xmas for sure.

Regards, Trevor.

Hi,

Funny seeing this, drove past them trying to dig it out by hand just a couple of weeks ago...:) offered some help but they thought we were taking the michael and sent us on our way - very unhappy driver. What was he doing driving down in those holes anyway???? The passengers were all out digging when we passed.

Hi guy's,
Thanks for the B'day wishes. Just having a quite night in, with hotdogs for dinner and a glass or two of wine, and possibly a b'day cake!. My Mum came down from Monto to spend the next couple of days with us.
B'Day pressies include new engine and transmission sump guards (as the engine sump guard is hanging on by cable ties) + maybe new torsion bars???

Cheers Greg
