Around 6 months ago, the subject of Working Holidays was mentioned and a reference to a web site that advertised for travellers to come and work at these
places for various times. I can't remember the details or I would have done a
forum search so if you can please helm me out with the address, I'd appreciate it muchly.
Thanks for your help.

No! Don't tell me you are going on the wallaby already. You are far too
young to retire.....lol Anyway, why leave such a cushy job where you can sleep in your chair all day?...hahahahaha

G'day Des Lexic.
I met you last week at Mr. Mrs. Al's place - we talked about retirement! There is a group called Farmsitters Australia ( I'm not at home at present so can't check my hard copy of the address), and they arrange for prospective "caretakers" to go onto people's properties while they're away to feed pets check stock, troughs etc. - but mainly to be on the preperty for security reasons. Their function is to put you in contact with the property owner, and the rest is up to you & the property owner to sort out. You can probably pick it up off a Google search, but when I get home next week I'll find the address & pass it on if you like. I don't think the pay would be fabulous, but it's something that might interest you amongst the other things on offer given your background.
Regards,
Craig M.

Thanks Craig. I'll check the site out but it's actually for someone else.
Was good to put faces to a couple of new names on the weekend.

"Working Holiday" isn't that a paradox or perhaps an oxymoron? :-)

I try to make them all quiet Al.
Just got back from a week at
Innamincka, so today was spent on the final stages of unpacking and returning the car to family bus mode. The shelving unit and fridge are back in their home spots and the third row of seats is back in the car. Bit sad really.
Back to work on Monday, ho hum.
Trust you enjoyed your little interlude in the
Hill.
