Hi all,
This is the most up to date info yet!!
The new 2007 model will come with two engine choices 1. 6.5lt V8 twin turbo diesel 2. 6lt supercharged V8 petrol. Nissan have worked hard on economy and the diesel will use around 9lt/100km while the petrol around 12lt/100km, they also offer a fitch as an option to further increase this economy!!!...Plus they are now offering as a good will gesture to all ZD30 owners a FREE engine conversion to the 6.5lt as they have admitted fault with the 3lt and are doing this as a good will gesture..There warranty is now 8 years or 250000kms and should the car break down more than 100km from home they will fly you and your car to their new 5 star repair facility on the whitsundays and put you up for as long as it takes to fix the car....or you can extend your stay by a week for only $50!! The patrol now comes with only two spec levels ST-l and Ti.. The ST-L comes with standard GPS..Sat Nav.. Leather interior and a massage function in the front seats...The Ti now comes with all the ST-L stuff plus standard FRIDGE on a slide plus draws and 80lt
water tank..Bull bar, winch,
driving lights, wide wheel packs and tough dog upgrades are now no cost options. They both retain their live axle front ends but have been developed by lotus for exceptional smoothness and ride quality.
To maintain market share Nissan have reduced the price to a very competitive price of $19990 drive away for the ST-L and $21990 for the Ti.
Hope this puts all the rumours to bed about the new patrol
Cheers Stefan

Easy there OLD fella, or we'll just have to bring up the subject of 'F' trucks having to be tilt trayed back from Landcruiser

What is the point of keepin' them they keep breaking, motors, gear box's,wheel studs,i could go on but don't wan't to rub it in tooooooooooooooo much.As you know mr the F truck wasn't broken it was a precaution as there was noise that sounded worse than what it was eh.
Keep your chin ol'e mate they can only improve them.Lol.

It does not answer the questions about the new patrol:
Do we finally get an auto in the big diesel?
Does the 6.5l TT replacement extend to the RD28ET? (lack of power is almost as bad as lack of reliabiloity me thinks)
Do "King OFF the road" stickers come standard?
Do "Attach buggered Toyota here" plaques show factory fitted recovery points?
Also I heard from a reputable source that the 07 model in the Ti guise will have a function in the stereo called "Handbrake Silencer". Activate this and some electro-computer thingy will automatically produce a series of sound waves that instantly cancel out a females voice should a whining sound be detected.
Such a brilliant device should be made standard in all new vechiles as a saftey measure.

Sorry Ben I got caught up in my excitment and forgot those small details....Yes a 6sp auto with paddle change levers for semi auto mode....With the RD28ET if we all get together and approch NISSAN I am sure they would love to help, They have always being the most helpfull with problems ;-)....As for the stickers YES...as for the recovery points not needed on a nissan....but if you feel some moral obligation to the TOYMOTA clan to retrive them, then I guess you could put plaques on your AFTERMARKET Towing hooks!!! LOL
The hand brake thing you talk of is similar to a stop barking device for animals.....should Whining be detected a shot of pepper spray is sprayed into the eyes of said whiner...works a treat I am told!!! HE HE HE HE

mmm pepper spray
I almost pi$$ed meself when i saw that..... SWMBO is gonna keep at me for days about why I've got a big dopey grin plastered over my face when every she has a whinge. Just you wait till we get the new truck I keep thinking HE HE HE
But about those towing hooks; if it didn't have them I am gonna run out of beer on long trips. I charge a carton for each retrieval job done on TOYMOTA, three for a Mitsu and a brewery for those hyundai spawn-of-the-devil things.
See ya mate, just heard something akin to a 1HZ carking it out the front (IE toyota driving mate has decided to visit...). Gotta go, beer is headed my way!

Isn't someone who sells hookers called a pimp?
And why's he sucking on the hooker, shouldn't it be the other way round?
