There was a thread on here a while back about ripping out the passenger side air bag and converting it to a second glove box. I've used the Search function but can't find it/them.
I've got the "Department of Interior" URL, but there were some other "home made" ones on here that were very good.
Can anyone help me find those threads please.
Thanks,
Bilbo

Thanks Scalyback,
I too have a problem with the "Search" function. It seems to only search the Thread Titles and nbot the whole thread content.

Thanks all for the info.
It seems that "doing it yerself" results in more usable space in the finished glovebox. The cutting etc isn't that hard. The fiddly bit is making a "box" that fits the increased space.
Oh
well - here we go with the hacksaw and "hot knife".
Wish me luck as I murder a GU glovebox!

G'day Bilbo, there was no actual airbag in
mine just in case someone gets the idea I ripped it out. I could send you some new pictures if you like as I have tidied it up a bit on the earlier shots. Actual cost was about half the Department of Interier setup I think. I used an angle grinder to cut the way in but a jig saw would be better or an air hacksaw..
Mine is wider then the Department box, but required a little innovation to bend the piece of steel across under the form of the box. It is bent the reverse way
