Brian
just recently we had the pleasure of being at the
Mildura Country Music Festival , unfortunately we could not take our planned caravan trip there due to being caught up in the tornado 10 weeks ago at
Australind WA
We had noticed a favourable report on the River Road Caravan
park in Ranfurly Av almost halfway tween
Mildura and Merbein so decided to stay there .
Well i cannot speak highly enough of this great little
park , our hosts Clive and Sheila
Watson could not do enough for us , with happy hours , pancake breakfasts , singalongs etc. It has a pool , lovely rustic bbq area and games room and everything was just spotless
Our friends there booked a powered caravan site , only $25 per night where some of the other parks in town obviously keen to cash in on the influx of tourists were charging $32 per night .
Apparantly when the Watsons took over this
park it was very run down , it has now achieved a 4 star rating . Would not hesitate to book in there again if passing through
Mildura or going to the music festival .
And to the group from Colac who also stayed there , you were great people
