Just couldn't help telling the world.
Became grandparents for the second time tonight. Was definitely not yet expected. Our eldest daughter gave birth to her first, a tiny little fella - Seth William - this evening. Two months premmie. Only 3 and a bit pounds. Perfect textbook pregnancy till last night. Complications and an emergency ceasar.
Mum's fine.
Young Seth appears to be getting stronger. Will be in hospital for quite some time. Nana and I - totally exhausted. I think it was less stressful having our own kids.

Congratulations, you have certaintly got that right, it is more stressful having grandies than when we had our own and it is a lot more stressful looking after the grandies than it was our own, I'm a nervous wreck when we are babysitting but hubbie seems OK with them, I'm just worried if something goes wrong while the parents are not there. But it is great having them!!!! enjoy
Cheers

Congrats Andrew
I am not at that stage yet of becomeing a grandparent. But Im gunna be the worst kind. My bloody kids were little Chits so Im gunna feed my grandies chocolate and red cordial....then give em back. I'll teach my kids to give me the irits.
The good thing is they turned out ok.

Andrew
Congratulations. I doubled my grandkids this year, now have 2 girls and 2 boys. I find now being a bit older I have a lot more time (and I suppose patience) with the grandkids. I can't honestly think of a more rewarding experience than being a grandparent. Enjoy the kids they will enrich you life

Congrats Andrew,
I hope all goes
well for little Seth, my latest addition is now 1 week and was 3 weeks premmie. We have had a few problems, like severe jaundance, new born nappies that are to big, and not being able to get clothes that fit her.
So I assume that you'll soon discover the same problems. I hope all goes
well and that you are as good a grandparent as you were parents, as you are the ones with experience and understanding.
My outlaws have taken my eldest (nearly 3 yr old) on a weeks holiday up to
Coffs Harbour so that we can settle Peta into sort of a routine.
Enjoy and once again Congrats
Kev

If you put "premature baby clothes" into any search engine should should get quite a few companies that make them!
Congratulations to you all!!!

Well done old fella. You guys must be amongst the youngest "grandparents" I know. I hope the next few months go
well and Seth gets stronger every day. I bet the brew was flowing last night.
Does that mean free carwashes today at
Albany Ck? LOL!!
Best regards, Trevor, Judy and Thomas.

It was too late at night for those brews.
No free carwashes. That's our other daughter who's also pregnant.
Going to be grandparents three times over by Christmas.

Congratulations to all.
It is certainly a VERY stressful time for all involved BTDT
At least premmie clothes are much easier to find than they were 16 years ago when our daughter was born 11 weeks early weighing 1 lb 10. The nurses cut pampers nappies in half for the babies in ICU then. She had to weigh 5 lb before she was allowed
home.

That's another problem that we have found. Nappies that fit. The Huggies and Baby Love disposable nappies are not small enough.
My Dad suggested cloth nappies but I said that even they would be gigantic on her, but he said use small face washers etc, and low and behold they fit.
So not all Grandparents forget how to overcome baby wrangling.
Cheers Kev
