Have my second battery and relay installed, now I have to run the wiring to the rear of the car, I want to put the wiring inside behind the plastic wall and under the doors.

Got the Haynes manual, show everything except how to get the panel in the back and the door floor steps of. lol

Can you help or point me to a site that shows how.

Many thanks

The plastic panel's in the back just clip out. Just give it a pull and you will hear all the little clips popping out. I found a few were broken but you can pick them up from most auto joints. For memory the door sill protectors are held in by the rest of the trim. Just have a bash and hioe for the best.

dunno bout the rear panel but the door floor steps just pop on and off - there is plenty of room for wiring in the chennel they reveal

I find using a small flat bladed screwdriver does the trick.

Thats the hard way....run them down the brake lines, which gives you an excellent place to secure the wires to...all the way from the master back....then in to the side panel through the gromet and wiring harness....the no1 problem with wiring is from it not being secured enough, and rubbing on metal....causes a short and if unfused...fires .

I agree. I initially ran my wiring inside the vehicle as the original post suggests, until it chafed under the floor mat and shorted. Now I have run it along the chassis rail inside a piece of poly dripper line, cable tied frequently to the brake line so it can't move. Been like that for 18 months now.

I suppose the internal route would be OK as long as the wires were securely fastened to something to stop them chafing.

Cheers

Be careful when doing the door sill covers and front kick panels. There is a less than obvious mounting bolt and platsic fitting up beside the accelerator pedal that holds all of that panel in place. Broke mine the first time I removed the sill cover as I didn't notice it. There are plastic U channels under the sill panels for both doors and quite thick cable will fit under no problems. I exited my cable into the storage compartment in the back right of the vehicle, then made sort of a 12 volt 4 outlet power board made from a zippy box from DSE and Clipsal 12 volt 2 pin sockets. Also mounted a Sutars 12 v marine cigarette socket into it as well. Use the corresponding Clipsal 2 pin low voltage plugs on all my accessories. Works well and looks good.

Cheers
